I have encountered records with three generations in the past but this is the first time I have found four generations all together.
Ira Payne Alford is my 2nd great grand uncle.

ReplyDeleteIsn't that something, Colleen! In my extended family, we rarely ever crossed paths with our grandparents, let alone great-grands, and to have them all living next door to each other.
ReplyDeleteI think it is amazing that they all lived close together. We lived in the same town as our maternal grandmother and the same county as our paternal grandmother but not next door.
DeleteI always like seeing families clustered together in a census record but I've never stopped to consider the number of generations represented. I'm going to pay attention to that in the future.
