Eileen G. Brady, ex-Assemblywoman

Easton, Md. – Eileen G. Brady, 84, formerly of Spring Lake, N.J., died Friday at Memorial Hospital, here. She was a financial aide for the Internal Revenue Service for 26 years, retiring in 1972. From 1936 to 1940, she was a member of the New Jersey State Assembly and was a President Roosevelt delegate to the 1932 and 1936 Democratic conventions.  Mrs. Brady was a founder of the East Orange Business and Professional Women’s Club and a national vice-president of the Business and Professional Women. 

Born in County Armagh, Ireland, she lived in East Orange and Spring Lake, N.J., before moving to Maryland in 1972. Her husband, Thomas J., died in July.

Surviving are two sons, John J., here, and William R., Brielle, N.J.; a sister, Ethna R. Cook, Deerfield Beach, Fla., eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Newman Funeral Home, here, is in charge of arrangements.

    Eileen was my Nana. She died the year after I was born, I am great grandchild #6.
