This is an obituary that makes me want to learn more. Why did this young woman die? I checked for another newspaper article, looking for reports of an accident or illness. I did not discover a cause of death. I also wish this told more about Reba's life. What was she interested in? What gave her joy in her life?

Rites Held For Miss Fortenberry
Prentiss, Nov. 7 – Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon from Old Silver Creek church. Lawrence county, for Miss Reba Fortenberry, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Fortenberry, who died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Bourne at Oakvale. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Thomas Dale, pastor of Collins. Interment was in the Old Silver Creek cemetery. Miss Fortenberry was 35 years of age and was born and reared in the Silver Creek Community, having finished her high school work at Silver Creek during the tenure of Prof. Julius Berry.
She was a faithful member of the Old Silver Creek Baptist church and was a much beloved woman. Surviving are six brothers:
Shell and Emmett Fortenberry, Prentiss;
Estus, Ike, Ray and Rex Fortenberry, Silver Creek;
Four sisters:
Mrs. Sam Hutchins, Hebron;
Mrs. Bettie Herrington,
Mrs. E. L. Bourne, Oakvale;
Mrs. Julia Sherman, New Hebron.
