My 4th cousin, 1x removed



 

Tylertown – Burrell W. Fortenberry, 57, Walthall County native and husband of Iris Stinson Fortenberry, died Monday in Jackson’s Humana Hospital following a lengthy illness. 

 

Services were 2 p. m. today in Hartman – Hughes Funeral Home of Tylertown with the Rev. Silas Thomas officiating. Burial was in Rushing Cemetery in Walthall County.

 

Born Jan. 6, 1927, Mr. Fortenberry was the son of Burrell H. and Ossie Magee Fortenberry. He was farmer and veteran of the Korean War. 

 

Other survivors include two daughters, Belva Ann Fortenberry of Franklinton, La., Iris Fornier of Angie, La.; three brothers, Denman and Charles Fortenberry of Tylertown, Robert Fortenberry of Denman Springs, La.; three sisters, Irma Williams of Angie, Jimmie Lou McElveen of Tylertown, Lela Newman of Kentwood, La.; and one grandson.
