Soldier Home from WWII, 1946

This man has been elusive because his name can be seen as both Charles Edward & Edward Charles. Now that I have discovered this, I plan to search for his military record during World War II.

Edward Charles Brumfield

b 2 Mar 1924 in Mississippi

Son of Fletcher Boyd Brumfield & Mattie Hannah Brumfield

  1. I have an Charles Edward also. His name is reversed on various records as well. He usually went by Edward. Don't forget to look under his initials also, you never know!

  2. Good for you spotting that! Not elusive but just rather needed to branch out with your research techniques. Happy hunting! :)

  3. I have a friend who is Charles William. He moved around a lot growing up because his dad was in the Air Force. Some places he'd be Charles or Charlie or Chuck and in other places William or Bill. It sure trips us up.

  4. As mentioned, not actually elusive, but a good reminder to look for people under every possible name variation we know of.
