250 Years: Our Patriots & Soldiers

Since April I have been posting about my Revolutionary War patriots. This post shows  a list of all those men I have researched. DAR = Daughters of the American Revolution. “Ancestor #” indicates a patriot recognized by the organization for his patriotic/military service.

Indicates a ‘direct line” ancestor; a person from whom you are directly descended, such as parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc. These people are different from “collateral relatives” such as siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. To become a Daughter of the American Revolution or a Son of the American Revolution you must prove your soldier is a “direct line” ancestor.
