Sepia Saturday: Men & Cars

This week's Sepia Saturday photo of cars reminds me of a photo in my archives, taken probably in the early 1960s.

My father (Delbert Brown) & his brothers always loved cars.
They posed by these cars for this unique photo of all five brothers,
 standing in order of age.
Delbert K., Leo D., Larry L., Robert A., & William L. Brown

    1. Yes. I do cherish it. Two of the brothers and both the sisters have died. Fortunately, we still have three of my brothers with us.

  3. There appears to be quite an age difference between your father and your uncle William? but as Barbara says, how nice to have a photograph of all the brothers together!

  4. That photo made me realize that with the larger families it's hard to find a photo which includes all the siblings, especially as they get older. So this one is nice to have.

  5. They also look like they are in order of height, with the tallest in the center and the shortest on the ends.

  7. Delbert is an interesting name, you wouldn't see that here in Australia.

    1. I believe it is a southern USA name. My Dad's Dad was from Mississippi. One of my brothers has the name but does not like it.

  8. The brothers are all touching - nice to see they were friends.

  9. And it is not a wedding photo! The last time that our entire family was together, it would have been a wedding in the 90s!

    1. Ha! Yes, that often happens at weddings. then, of course, you get people dressed up. I like casualness of this photo.

  10. Five boys! Your poor grandparents :) They do indeed seem a close-knit bunch, despite such a gap in ages.

    1. They all lived in the same area & we, the next generation, do as well. We like to do summer BBQs & picnics together.

  11. It''s not often you can get several siblings together for a photo once they are grown up, especially with the larger families.
