There appears to be quite an age difference between your father and your uncle William? but as Barbara says, how nice to have a photograph of all the brothers together!
That photo made me realize that with the larger families it's hard to find a photo which includes all the siblings, especially as they get older. So this one is nice to have.

That's a great picture to have of your Dad and uncles, Colleen.
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks, I do like that photo.
DeleteHow nice to have a photo of your dad with all his brothers.
ReplyDeleteYes. I do cherish it. Two of the brothers and both the sisters have died. Fortunately, we still have three of my brothers with us.

ReplyDeleteThey also look like they are in order of height, with the tallest in the center and the shortest on the ends.
ReplyDeleteYes,sixteen years difference. There were also two sisters, not pictured here.
ReplyDeleteDelbert is an interesting name, you wouldn't see that here in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is a southern USA name. My Dad's Dad was from Mississippi. One of my brothers has the name but does not like it.
DeleteThe brothers are all touching - nice to see they were friends.
ReplyDeleteYes, my Dad's brothers were his best friends.
DeleteAnd it is not a wedding photo! The last time that our entire family was together, it would have been a wedding in the 90s!
ReplyDeleteHa! Yes, that often happens at weddings. then, of course, you get people dressed up. I like casualness of this photo.
DeleteFive boys! Your poor grandparents :) They do indeed seem a close-knit bunch, despite such a gap in ages.
ReplyDeleteThey all lived in the same area & we, the next generation, do as well. We like to do summer BBQs & picnics together.
DeleteIt''s not often you can get several siblings together for a photo once they are grown up, especially with the larger families.
ReplyDeleteI love old cars.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad & his brothers love[d] cars, trucks, engines,...
